 Pakistan Announced T20 world Cup Squad For 2022. Pakistan cricket selectors unveiled their squad for the Men's T20 World Cup in Australia, which will be held from 16 October to 13 November. Pakistan has won the title in 2009, reached the final in 2007 and featured in the 2010, 2012 and 2021 semifinals.

Shan Masood First Call in T20 World Cup:
Shan Masood, a top-order batter, is one of the players of the 15-player World Cup squad. He will be playing for the first time in a shorter format. He also plays along with fast bowlers Mohammad Wasim Junior and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Wasim Junior, who has recovered from the injury he suffered in the T20 Asia Cup, will be joining the team for the World T20. Shaheen, who is currently recuperating from a knee injury and is scheduled to resume bowling in October, will join the squad in Brisbane on 15 October.

Pakistani Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim Said:

We have developed a team who will perform well at the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, and that’s why we have chosen most of the players on the team. These players are some of the best in the world right now, which is why we want to give them a chance to showcase their talents. We want to continue investing in these players and provide them with a chance to continue pursuing their goals.

T20 world Cup Squad:

Babar Azam (c), Shadab Khan (vc), Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, Haider Ali, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmed,  Mohammad Hasnain, Usman Qadir, Mohammad Nawaz,  Asif Ali, Mohammad Wasim,  Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shan Masood, Khushdil Shah, Usman Qadir.

Travelling reserves:

Shahnawaz Dahani, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Haris.

For the upcoming T20 series against England, players who have performed exceptionally will be considered for the World Cup. Among these, Aamir Jamal , and Abrar Ahmed were named in place of Fakhar Zaman, and Shaheen Shah Afridi..

Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann were notable additions to the Netherlands squad that took on New Zealand at home in the recent T20I series.
